News from Foundation

WOW! How crazy fast has this year gone? We cannot believe how quickly our little Foundation students have grown and how much they have learned over the span of the year. With only a week and a bit to go, they are ready for GRADE 1!!!! The memories they have made this year will hopefully be ones they will remember when they get to grade 6!
Thank you to all the Foundation families for such a wonderful year together! Full of happiness, love and support. Mrs B and Miss Cooper are so proud of everything they have achieved! We couldn't have asked for a better year together!
Christmas
It is Christmas time!!! WOOOHOO!! Let the fun begin! In Foundation this week, we have been loving exploring the book called 'Santa Post'. It is a wonderful book about a letter that was sent to Santa, but what the girl wanted was burned out in the letter. Santa had to get some helpers to help him think of the perfect gift! Check out our retells using puppets below:
The Foundation students created a Story Map retelling the main parts of the story as well.
Here is some writing that we did about Christmas! The Foundations are amazing at sounding out words!
Who is that???
We loved looking at the book Macca the Alpaca last week! Here are the fun alpaca masks we made. Can you work out who is who?
Alphabet Soup
WAHOOOOO!! The Foundations have learned all the sounds that they needed this year!!! To celebrate, we made Alphabet soup! Not real soup; I'm not sure how nice that would taste. But pretend Alphabet soup that gave us all the special knowledge and power!
Tree Surfing
Wow! We are extremely proud of all the Foundation students from last week, as they all gave Tree Surfing a try! Imagine being 6 years old and living your best life through risk-taking and resilience-building! We are so PROUD of this! It is simply amazing!
