Tree Surfing Big Day Out
Thank you to our wonderful P&F for their generous excursion for the whole school to participate in team building, resilience and risk-taking activities at Arthur's Seat Adventure Maze. All students and Staff had an amazing time and are so thankful for the opportunity to participate.
Thank you in particular to Laura Van der Vlugt, who has been the driving force behind this type of activity for the students, and we thank Laura for the amazing work that she has done for the P & F. We also thank Lyndal Lawrie for her work in the P & F, too, and wish Lyndal and her family a wonderful adventure in Darwin. Both Lyndal and Laura are stepping down from the P & F at the end of this year.
Here are some photos of our amazing day out.
P & F 2026 and beyond
Our school community is full of wonderful, talented and enthusiastic people who are more than capable of stepping into these roles. The plan for 2026–27 is for each class to have at least one representative on the Parents & Friends Committee, as is standard practice in many Catholic primary schools across the Melbourne Archdiocese. Meetings will be scheduled at times that suit the group—whether face-to-face or online, during school hours or in the evening.
The group’s focus will be on coordinating social events for students and families and supporting fundraising where appropriate. Strengthening wellbeing and connectedness across our community will remain our priority.
Some of the events organised by the P & F are:
Mother's and Father's Day Gift stalls
Fundraising such as raffles and the Colour Run
Community get-togethers such as Trivia nights
Attending family events such as Twilight Sports, Fundraisers
Fun activities for the students
Raising funds for school eg books, gaga pit, playground upgrades etc
Stay tuned for how you can join the P & F in 2026 in the first newsletter back next year.
We thank you for your support of P & F activities this year and hope that you all have a safe and wonderful holiday.
