Student Wellbeing

Mrs Rebecca Beveridge

It is nearly the end of a fantastic year together. Can you believe it? It has been a fantastic year of learning and growing in the Wellbeing Space.

The year that was 2025

Our students gained knowledge in Personal Strengths, Problem-Solving, Digital Literacy, and Positive Gender Relations.

We gained knowledge through various incursions, including those from the REACH Foundation, Brainstorm Productions' wellbeing play, and life skills needed in an emergency from the St John Ambulance.

In Friendship Groups, we focused our learning on understanding people's emotions, feelings, and safety, as well as recognising our own and others' emotions and developing positive coping strategies.

The level of community and connectedness between all of our students is something I love to see each day. Students include one another, helping each other out, and most importantly, the care they have for each other.

PBL

In the PBL space, the students have been absolutely super Respectful, Responsible and Resilient. The resilience of all our students, having a go at tree surfing last week, was absolutely incredible. We celebrated this year by receiving Gotcha tokens for our amazing behaviour and managed to fill our tower 3 TIMES!!! We have celebrated these achievements with Zooper Doopers, whole-school games, movie day, P.J. day, a hot-chip lunch, and more! To finish off our year, we are excited to announce that we will be celebrating our amazing behaviour with a movie afternoon with ice cream and Christmas craft! This will be on the second last day of school!

Looking forward to 2026

In our first week at school, we will be having a Wellbeing-Focused week, as we have done in recent years. Instead of diving straight into academics, our focus will be on helping students reconnect, feel grounded, and build the foundations they need for a successful year ahead.

Throughout the week, classrooms will be filled with community-building activities, reflective conversations, and routines designed to foster calm and supportive environments.

Teachers will take deliberate steps to create safe, welcoming environments where every student feels seen and supported. From circle discussions to outdoor breaks, creative projects, and team challenges, the week will offer students opportunities to strengthen relationships and settle comfortably into the school's rhythm.

A wellbeing-focused beginning won’t just be a gentle re-entry—it will set the tone for the entire year. By nurturing connection, confidence, and calm from the start, we’ll build a community where both learning and personal growth can flourish.

We look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

Thank you all for an amazing year. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you all have a wonderful holidays and I will see you all in 2026!
