NAPLAN results are going home today, and we are very pleased to share that St Mary’s has exceeded many of the expected levels. These results place our wonderful school among some of the high achievers within the Diocese.

This is a credit to the hard work, dedication, and consistency of our classroom teachers, as well as the effort and growth shown by our students. It is wonderful to see this learning consolidated and reflected in such strong evidence of student achievement.

Congratulations to our staff and students on this fantastic result.

As we begin Term 3, we will continue to build on our Classroom Mastery practices across the school. The consistent routines established in our classrooms, including Cue to Start, Asking and Answering Questions, and Using Mini Whiteboards, are helping students feel confident, engaged and ready to learn. These routines provide a strong foundation for learning and support high levels of participation across all year levels. We look forward to continuing this work throughout the term and strengthening the positive learning culture we have created together.

Expectation Spotlight – Weeks 1 & 2

At the beginning of Term 3, our Expectation Spotlight is "We come to class ready to learn." This expectation encourages students to arrive each day prepared, organised and ready to participate in their learning. Being ready to learn means having the right equipment, following routines, making positive choices and being prepared to give their best. We appreciate your support in helping your child start each school day ready for a successful day of learning.
