Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers
First Holy Communion Celebrations
Congratulations to our Year 4 students and parish catechists who celebrated their First Holy Communion last weekend. It was a beautiful and reverent celebration, and we are very proud of the way the children participated in this significant milestone in their faith journey.
We thank our parish community and families for their support and preparation, which helped make the occasion so special. A special thank you to our Year 3 students who shared their musical talents and contributed so beautifully to the Mass.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all staff who assisted with the preparation of the students and the celebration itself. Your commitment, support, and dedication helped make this a memorable and faith filled occasion for our students and their families.
May our First Communicants continue to grow in faith and experience God's love and presence in their lives.
St Fidelis Recognised Among Victoria's Top Schools
We are delighted that St Fidelis was recognised in the Herald Sun's 2026 analysis of Victoria's Top 100 non-government primary schools. This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the commitment of our students to learning and growth. We thank our entire school community for contributing to this wonderful achievement.
According to the 2026 Herald Sun analysis of Victoria's top non-government primary schools, St Fidelis' School, Moreland was ranked 20th among the 27 Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) schools that made Victoria's Top 100 list.
The MACS article did not publish the overall Victorian ranking number for each school, but it confirmed that St Fidelis' School, Moreland was included in the Top 100 non-government primary schools in Victoria based on the Herald Sun analysis.
This is an excellent achievement and reflects the strong work of staff, students, and families. The Herald Sun rankings were based on factors including:
- Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN results
- Student-to-staff ratios
- Attendance rates
Socio-educational indicators
Congratulations and thank you to our entire St Fidelis community. Together, we continue to create a school where students thrive academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
