Year 1 News

Welcome to Week 9! It’s hard to believe we only have two more weeks of Term 2 before the school holidays begin.

As researchers and historians, we excitedly explored how toys and technology have changed over time at our Mini Museum of Toys and Technology. We looked at photos and artefacts, read information texts, watched videos, asked thoughtful questions, listened to experts, and documented our discoveries. Through these experiences, we developed an even deeper understanding of how life has changed from the past to the present and made lots of great connections.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who generously contributed artefacts to our Mini Museum and to the parent volunteers who gave their time to support our learning. Your involvement helped create a rich and engaging learning experience, and we truly appreciate your support. If your items have not been returned yet, please contact us.

As religious thinkers, we unpacked the scripture story of Jesus feeding the 5000 and made meaningful connections to the Eucharist. We reflected on how Jesus shared the bread with others and discussed how this connects to the importance of sharing, community, and celebrating the Eucharist in our faith today.

1AM attended Mass with 4ZK this week as the year 4s prepared to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to participate in the Mass and learn more about this important Sacrament. We congratulate the Year 4 students who recently celebrated the Sacrament of Eucharist.
