TRP Diary Cover Competition (Years 3–6)
As we begin preparations for next year, we have received the order forms for our Year 3–6 TRP Diaries. As part of this exciting process, students are invited to participate in our TRP Diary Cover Competition!
Students have the opportunity to design the customised front cover for next year's diary. Templates will be available from the school office for students to collect and complete at home. Completed entries will be due after the school holidays.
A copy of the template has also been attached for families to access.
We look forward to seeing the creativity and talent of our students on display.
GEM Highlight
Well done to all of our learning spaces for their engagement in TRP and GEM Chats. A huge congratulations to the students of 2NA whose recent TRP lesson was highlighted as an exemplary example of effective practice.
The lesson featured a strong and engaging hook, meaningful integration of GEM Chat, and valuable opportunities for students to reflect and make personal connections to key TRP concepts. Students were actively involved ghout the session, demonstrating thoughtful engagement with their learning.
What made the lesson particularly noteworthy was the clear evidence of careful planning and intentional design. Every aspect of the learning experience was purposefully structured to support student wellbeing, participation, and connection.
Wellbeing in the Community
Supporting the wellbeing of our students is a shared responsibility between home and school. As we approach the holiday break, we encourage families to continue prioritising opportunities for connection, gratitude, empathy and mindfulness; key pillars of The Resilience Project.
Simple moments such as sharing meals together, spending time outdoors, limiting screen time, talking about emotions, and encouraging acts of kindness can have a significant impact on children's wellbeing. These experiences help children build positive relationships, develop emotional awareness, and strengthen their resilience when faced with challenges.
Throughout the term, students have continued to engage in meaningful GEM Chats and wellbeing lessons, developing a deeper understanding of how their brains and emotions work. Recently, students explored mindfulness through meditative walking, learning the importance of slowing down, noticing their surroundings, and being present in the moment. By taking time to pause and reset, students can help calm their amygdala and activate their prefrontal cortex, enabling them to better understand their feelings, regulate emotions, and make thoughtful choices.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting the wellbeing of our students. Together, we can continue to nurture happy, healthy and resilient young people.
