We would greatly appreciate your support!
Weekly recap in 3/4:
It has been another busy and exciting week of learning in 3/4! Students have jumped into several new units and have been developing their knowledge and skills across Mathematics, English and Guided Inquiry.
In English, we have begun a new text study, Always Was, Always Will Be. Students are learning about the history and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, developing their understanding of how texts can communicate different perspectives and experiences.
In Mathematics, we have started our new unit on financial mathematics. Students have been practising rounding money amounts, adding money and multiplying money amounts. They have been applying these skills to practical financial situations and building their confidence when working with money.
In Guided Inquiry, we have been exploring the difference between rules and laws. Students are investigating why rules and laws are created, who makes them, and how they help communities to function safely and fairly.
We have also been getting creative in our school garden, painting a new sign for our garden beds! Our new garden area has officially been named “The Pleasant Patch”, and we are very excited to see it becoming a colourful and welcoming part of our school.
Warm regards,
The Senior Team
Nick, Julia, Amanda, Gabby, Jonny, Miss Liu, Roz, Miss Teo, Ciara, Claire and Sam
