Junior School

你 好 (ni hao) Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 families,
It has been another busy and exciting time of learning in Grade 2!
Our students have been working hard across all areas of the curriculum and have enjoyed exploring new concepts and sharing their learning with others.
In Mathematics, we have been learning about multiplication and division. Students have explored how multiplication can be represented using equal groups, arrays and repeated addition. Students have enjoyed using hands-on materials and drawings to help explain their mathematical thinking.
In Writing, we have been learning about persuasive writing. Students have been developing their ability to share an opinion and provide reasons to convince their audience. They have explored persuasive language and have been working on structuring their writing with a clear introduction, reasons and conclusion.
During Guided Inquiry, we have travelled through time to explore the history of television! Students have investigated how televisions have changed over time, from the early televisions to the technology we use today. They have enjoyed comparing old and modern televisions and learning about how changes in technology have influenced the way we watch and access information.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity and effort our Grade 2 students continue to show in their learning!
