Loving God,

Walk with us, as you walked with the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Open our eyes so that we can see you in the people we meet.

Open our ears so that we can hear your words.

Open our hearts so that we can recognise your presence in our lives.

When we are worried, give us peace. When we are unsure, give us courage.

When we feel alone, remind us that you are always beside us.

Help us to walk in your footsteps, to listen to your Word,

to share your love, and to recognise Jesus in one another.

May our hearts burn with love for you as we continue our journey with Jesus.

Emmaus Parish  celebration

A very special thank you to everyone who joined us for the Emmaus Parish Inauguration Mass and Celebration last Friday evening at St Fidelis Church.

It was a beautiful and memorable occasion as we came together in faith to celebrate the inauguration of the Emmaus Parish, marking the beginning of a new chapter as we journey together as one parish community. Emmaus Parish brings together the communities of St Fidelis, Our Lady Help of Christians, St Ambrose and St Joseph’s.

It was wonderful to see our parish community come together in such a spirit of faith, joy and fellowship. The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity to give thanks for this new beginning and to look forward to our journey together as one parish.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to and helped make this a truly special and memorable occasion for Emmaus Parish.

Your willingness to contribute to this special celebration was truly appreciated and helped make the occasion a joyful and prayerful celebration for our parish community.

School Closure Day Monday 24 August

On Monday 24 August, the staff of St Fidelis will participate in a day of professional and spiritual learning at the Mary MacKillop Heritage Centre. Throughout the day, staff will explore the life and mission of Saint Mary MacKillop, learning about her deep faith, courage, compassion, and commitment to education and service. We will reflect on the ways in which Mary’s work has enriched our lives and continues to influence Catholic education and the communities we serve today.

This experience will provide an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and renewal as we consider how Mary MacKillop’s example inspires us in our own vocation as educators and members of the St Fidelis community. 

Upcoming School Mass Times

Throughout the term, students will have regular opportunities to attend Mass as part of their faith journey and spiritual development. These celebrations provide meaningful moments for prayer, reflection, and connection with our school community. The following schedule outlines the allocated times for each class to participate in Mass and other prayer experiences.

We warmly invite parents and carers to join us whenever possible, as your presence helps to enrich these special occasions and strengthens the partnership between home, school, and parish.
