German Poetry Competition

On Friday, 8 August, nine Oxley students from Years 7-9 competed in this year’s Association of German Teachers Victoria (AGTV) German Poetry Competition. Caitlin L (7.1), Hannah P (7.4), Lian N (7.4), Ayesha S (8.7), Leah C (8.5), Ethan S (8.6), Leon R (9.9), Zia B (9.12) and Joanna G (9.10) all memorised a poem in German and recited it in front of two judges in a competition against other schools in our region.

Congratulations to Ethan S for placing first in Year 8! And congratulations to Hannah P, Leah C and Zia B for placing third in Year 7, 8 and 9, respectively. They all had a wonderful time seeing German students from other schools and participating in the event.
