F-2 Recap
Our Foundation–Year 2 students have been working really hard in Physical Education, building their confidence, skills, and understanding of how to work and play together.
Throughout their lessons, students have been actively participating in class tag games, where they have been learning to move safely in shared spaces, follow rules, and develop their awareness of others. These games have also helped students build agility and coordination while having plenty of fun.
Students have also taken part in a range of movement challenges designed to encourage problem solving, persistence, and creativity. It has been wonderful to see students challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements.
A strong focus has been placed on teamwork and fair play, with students learning how to take turns, encourage their peers, and play games in a respectful and inclusive way. These skills are an important part of building positive sporting behaviours.
In addition, students have been developing their fundamental movement skills, particularly throwing and catching. Through a variety of engaging activities, they have been practising control, accuracy, and coordination.
We are very proud of the effort and enthusiasm our F–2 students have shown in Physical Education and look forward to seeing their continued growth throughout the year.
3-6 Athletics day
Our Year 3–6 students - almost 450 of them! - arrived at Casey Fields full of energy and ready to attack the day with great enthusiasm. It was fantastic to see so many students eager to participate, challenge themselves, and support their peers.
The day kicked off with the hurdles, followed by the fast-paced 100m sprints, and the always entertaining and crowd-favourite toddler race. The energy and house spirit on display set a positive tone for the rest of the day.
In the afternoon, students continued to showcase their skills and determination across a range of field and track events, including shot put, high jump, long jump, and the 200m sprint. It was wonderful to see students giving their best effort, demonstrating resilience, and celebrating each other’s achievements!
