Year 7 Engineers without Borders incursions

Last week Year 7 science students were visited by Engineers without Borders volunteers from RMIT University. Students were introduced to different ways that communities around the world obtain clean water, and the various factors that influence which techniques are used. They were then challenged to think like humanitarian engineers, designing and building their own water filters. It was fantastic to relate last term's studies on separation techniques to real-world case studies!

A big thank you to the volunteers from RMIT for providing these wonderful workshops, and for our students for being such attentive participants!
