GEC's History on Display!

Old photos of GEC from the 70s will be on display in the gallery space at the Glen Eira Town Hall for the month of August.

While the school was called Caulfield High at the time, you might be surprised at how similar the school grounds look today!

The photos were taken by students Steven Morton and Shane Pieper, depicting everyday school life in the 70s. During this time, the school was well-known for its productions and art programs, so there will also be special displays of photos from three of the school's theatrical productions: 1972's Funny Girl, 1973's Sneaky McGee (written by teacher Phil Sumner), and 1974's One Hand Clapping (written by student Shane Pieper).

If you were a student of the school at the time, or are just in the area and interested in taking a historical look at GEC, head to the town hall!

Here are some sneak peek pics of the productions.
