World Environment Day
In preparation for World Environment Day on 5th June 2024, a few of the SRC members and GEC’s Visual Arts Captain, Lubou Mikhailouskaya, came together to create a beautiful chalk drawing for World Environment Day that our students could admire as they walk into the building. The theme this year was ‘#Generationrestoration’. Not only the chalk drawing, but World Environment Day consisted of bringing nude food to school and reducing plastic waste going into our environment. World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June, with the main aim being inspiring positive change. People from more than 150 countries participate in this United Nations International Day, which celebrates environmental action and the power of governments, businesses and individuals to create a more sustainable world. A big thank you to Mr Chiumello and the SRC for organising the chalk drawing and Visual Arts Captain Lubou for helping out on the day.
