Grade 4 News

Welcome back to Term 2, Grade 4!  

We’ve had a fantastic start to the term and are very pleased with how smoothly students have transitioned back into their classroom routines. 

In English, we have begun reading Uncle Xbox by Jared Thomas. This engaging novel is already prompting thoughtful discussions and meaningful connections. During Writing, students are constructing a recount based on the arrival of the First Fleet, including the impacts on First Nations Australians, with a focus on sequencing events and using the correct structure.  

In Mathematics, we are exploring decimals, including tenths and hundredths, as well as practising how to place and order them on number lines. 

In Religion, students are learning about the Circle of Life and exploring ways we can share God’s love with others through kindness, respect, and care for those around us.
