Principal's message

Fourth Sunday of Easter – Good Shepherd Sunday April 26

During Easter time, we remember that Jesus is alive and always with us. Today we hear Jesus call Himself the Good Shepherd.

A good shepherd looks after their sheep. Jesus looks after us. He knows our names, cares for us, and helps us feel safe when we are worried or unsure.

Just like a shepherd leads sheep to good places, Jesus shows us how to be kind, loving, and brave. When we listen to Jesus’ voice, we learn how to care for others and to make good choices.

This week, let us remember that we are always loved and guided by Jesus, our Good Shepherd.

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for watching over us. Help us to listen to your voice and to care for one another.

Amen.

Mother's Day

Next week we celebrate Mother's Day at school.

On Wednesday the Mother's Day stall will be held.  On Friday there will be a Mother's Day breakfast beginning at 8.00am followed by a Mother's Day Prayer service in the hall at 9.00am.  We invite all mother's and those assuming the mothering role to join us for this lovely celebration.

School Fun Run/Cross County Run

Energy is high in anticipation of the fun run held on Friday 22nd May.

Classes are in training and children are excitedly collecting sponsors for the fundraising component.  We look forward to families joining us as spectators for the big event, the first race begins at 12noon. Many families choose to stay for a shared picnic lunch with their children afterwards.

Pre-service teachers

Over the next few weeks your children may share that they have a second teacher in the classroom, we have five student teachers on placement. They are at varying stages of their degrees and whilst they are learning more about becoming teachers in our school, they are also a great extra support for the teachers.

Have a great week everyone
