Year Six Mass
We celebrated a truly lovely Year Mass this week, enriched by the many thoughtful connections Father James made to Catholic Education Week and our shared call to be people of peace.
The peace that God gives us is not as simple as the absence of conflict. It is a deep, steadying feeling of being held, guided and grounded in love, even when life is messy or uncertain.
The peace that God gives us is something children can help create every day. They build this peace when they choose kindness, include someone who is feeling left out, listen with patience, or take a quiet moment to breathe and remember that God is with them.
God’s peace grows in our school whenever children use gentle words, solve problems calmly, and look for ways to make others feel safe and valued. It is a peace that starts inside each child and then spreads through their actions.
After masses this week it was also a joy to welcome parishioners into our learning spaces to see our students in action. Their presence added a beautiful sense of community and reminded us how deeply our parish and school walk together in faith.
