In Visual Art, they have now explored all the primary and secondary colours, as well as how to make colours lighter and darker by mixing in white and black.

Grade 1/2

In Music, students have been exploring how to use tuned persuccsion instruments to play high and low sounds, such as glockenspiels and boomwhackers. In Visual Art, the have continued to explore and emulate the artistic styles of famous artists, such as Frida Kahlo and Leonardo da Vinci.

Grade 3/4

In Music, students have explored (through singing, moving and playing) the differences between songs that have 4 beats per bar and songs that have 3 beats per bar. In Drama, that have been working on improvising and rehearsing in a group, as well as giving feedback to other performers.

Grade 5/6

In Music, students have continued to explore music from around the world be looking at Celtic music, the traditional instruments used, and the types of rhythms asociated with this type of music. In Drama, students have now rehearsed all the scenes of the production, and have practised giving feedback to their peers about their performances.

Thank you to all the students for their hard work, as well as parents and careers for their continued support of the arts at Moriac Primary School. I look forward to seeing you all again after the holidays for more artistic fun in Term 2!
