Foundation (Prep) 2025

We've had three fun and successful transition days this term for our incoming Foundation (Prep) students. The final transition session for the children is their Orientation Day next Friday, 6 December. 

2025 School Year start amended

Foundation (Prep) 2025 families have been notified that the first day of school has been moved from 5th February to 6th February. This was necessitated to allow an additional day for the Prep team to complete all the individual School Entry Assessment interviews before the children started school. The updated calendar for the start of the 2025 school year is now as follows:

• Monday 20 to Friday 24 January – OSHC Summer Vacation Care from 7am to 6pm; booking essential.
• Tuesday 28 January – Term 1 commences. 
  This day is a student-free day in all Victorian government schools. School Office opens. This day is a student-free day in all Victorian government schools. School Office opens.
• Wednesday 29 January – Student-free day for all EHPS students.
  Care provided by OSHC from 7am to 6pm; booking essential.
• Wednesday 29 January (from 11.30am) to Wednesday 5 February (to 11am) – Foundation (Prep) students attend their compulsory one hour school entry assessment interview with their teacher at school.
• Thursday 30 January – Years 1 to 6 students commence school (8.50am to 3.30pm).
• Thursday 6 February – Foundation (Prep) students first day at school. 
  Children have an allocated start time between 9am and 10am, specified in your school start letter. Finish early at 1.30pm.
  After School Care for Foundation (Prep) students from 1.30pm if required; booking essential.
• Friday 7 February – Foundation (Prep) students attend school from 8.50am to 2.30pm. 
  After School Care for Foundation (Prep) students from 2.30pm if required; booking essential. 
• Monday 10 February onwards – Foundation (Prep) students commence fulltime from 8.50am to 3.30pm.
