Year 6

Big Day Out

Next Wednesday, 4 December, our Year 6 cohort will be celebrating the end of primary school at their Big Day Out excursion. The Big Day Out will be held at Funfields Theme Park in Whittlesea, where students will have unlimited access to all rides, including the wave pool, waterslides, go karts and toboggan slides.

For students starting Year 7 at Mount Waverley Secondary College next year, please refer to the message from Sasha Lanyon published in Compass on 14 November regarding the mini-orientation on 4th December. 

Excursion information has been published on Compass. Consent and payment is due not later than TODAY. 

Absence in last week of Term 4

If your child will be absent during the last week of this term and school year (Monday 16 December to Friday 20 December), please submit your request permission for their absence from Mr Perini and advise their classroom teacher as soon as possible as they will be missing Graduation, and end of year arrangements need to be made for them.

Orientation for Year 7 2025

The Orientation Day for students commencing in Year 7 2025 Orientation Day in a Victorian Government secondary school is Tuesday 10 December. Parents/carers are to enter an attendance note in Compass if their child is attending their orientation on this day and will be absent from EHPS. 

Students attending non-government schools in 2025 will attend school at EHPS as usual on this day. 

Graduation

The Year 6 students and teachers are all very excited about their Graduation Day celebrations on Tuesday 17 December. The special activities on this day will be held in the Ian Harrison School Hall as follows:

  • Luncheon from 12.30pm to 2.30pm – students only with past and present teachers and support staff.
  • Graduation Ceremony – arrive at 5.30pm for prompt 6pm start, concluding at about 7.30pm; students and maximum two guests, and school staff.
  • Disco – 8pm to 9.30pm in Hall – students with supervising adults. Parents/guardians in Library for refreshments and nibbles.

Graduation information has been published on Compass. Consent and payment are due now and not later than Thursday 12 December.
