ACC Athletics Carnival C Division
Our top athletes headed to WA Athletics Stadium to represent St Norbert College at the ACC Athletics Carnival C Division.
The day brought some fierce competition, with our students going head-to-head with athletes from Aranmore, Kennedy, Kingsway, Lake Joondalup, Seton, Prendiville and Mandurah Catholic College.
Across the day, our students competed in a wide range of field and track events, including discus, javelin, shot put, high jump, long jump, hurdles and relay events.
For many of our students, the carnival was an opportunity to compete at a high level and test themselves against some of the best school athletes in the division. We were proud to see students step up to the challenge and give their best throughout the day.
As a College, we finished 6th overall and we won the Junior Boys Shield — a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the hard work and commitment shown by our students.
We also had some outstanding individual performances, with seven students finishing inside the top five in their respective age groups:
- Gabriella J – Year 7: 1st Overall
- Lexi W – Year 8: 1st Overall
- Elizabeth J – Year 9: 2nd Overall
- Arian H – Year 10: 4th Overall
- Riley L – Year 7: 5th Overall
- Gabriel V H – Year 8: 5th Overall
- Harper K – Year 10: 5th Overall
Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of every student who represented the College. From the first event of the day through to the final races, each student contributed to the team and showed great commitment to the College.
A huge congratulations to all our athletes on their efforts!
Specialised Football
Term 3 has been another busy and exciting period for the St Norbert College Specialised Football Program, with students representing the College across a number of SSWA and ACC competitions.
The highlight of the term was undoubtedly our SSWA Intermediate Boys, who were crowned SSWA Shield Champions after a 3–1 come-from-behind victory over a strong St James' Anglican School side. It marked the first major outdoor trophy in the program's history and was a fitting reward for a group that has grown together over the past four years.
While our initial goal was to progress deep into the Champion Schools bracket, we narrowly missed qualification by just one point. The boys responded well, dominating the Shield competition by scoring 16 goals and conceding only two on their way to lifting the trophy. This is a talented group, and we are excited to see what they can achieve in 2027.
Both our ACC Division 1 Senior Boys and Senior Girls progressed to the semi-finals of their respective competitions before being eliminated by strong opposition. With both squads featuring a number of younger players, the experience gained this season will prove invaluable as we continue to build towards an even stronger 2027 campaign.
Our SSWA Junior Boys have qualified for the Champion Schools play-offs, which will take place in Week 1 of Term 4. After producing several impressive performances throughout the group stage, the boys have given themselves a great opportunity to progress further into the competition.
Our SSWA Junior Girls will compete in the Shield competition early next term. The improvement shown by this group throughout the season has been outstanding, with every player embracing the opportunity to develop and improve with each match.
Looking ahead, Term 4 promises to be another exciting one. Our junior boys and girls will compete in the SSWA Futsal Carnivals, while our inaugural international football tour will see our Under 16 boys travel to Singapore to compete in the Singa Cup during the first week of November. This is a significant milestone for our program and an incredible opportunity for our students to represent St Norbert College on the international stage.
We wish all of our teams the very best for their remaining fixtures and thank our students, staff and families for their continued support throughout another fantastic term.
