Creative Arts Exhibition

Done and dusted for another year!

This year was one of our biggest opening nights in memory! The Xanten Performing Arts Centre was packed to the brim on our opening night, 15 September, with students, families, friends, staff and special guests in attendance.

An amazing showcase of talent was on display once again, as students from all year groups had a variety of their creative projects on display. Wood seemed to be the standout winner this year, with some stunning pieces, ranging from resin inlay coffee tables and chopping boards, to a storage chest, even a saddle stand.

Visual art, and Design, both featured heavily on the lit up boards, with some stunning paintings, photographs and digital designs on display. All of the Technologies areas were well represented again this year, with some bespoke fashion pyjamas, metal fish, engineered golf courses, graphic art skateboards, ceramics, crocheted and sewn toys, books and games, as well as original computer games and gaming logos on merchandise.

So much to see in just one night!

My thanks, as always, to the dedicated staff behind this exhibition, who put in many, many hours in preparation for this magnificent event. In particular, thanks to Ms Jennifer Rigg and Mr Craig Mecham, who start their planning and preparation months in advance. Special thanks to our judges this year, Laura and Gino Giovinazzo, who have a long history with the College, as parents, parishioners, and floral artists in the Church, and for our exhibition.
