Important expectations to uphold

A warm and hearty welcome back to all our St George’s families. It is most lovely to have the school buzzing again with the energy and enthusiasm of our students. As we settle in now to Term One, having reached the end of Week 3, it is timely to remind our St George’s community of a number of important expectations that we uphold at the school.

Uniforms

  • Many students are wearing their uniform with pride, however as previously notified all students are required to wear the new shirt from the start of 2026. Both the boys and girls old style shirt have been decommissioned and are no longer permissible as part of the uniform. Student still wearing the old shirt need to have this replaced as soon as possible. These are available from Tara Uniforms and can be ordered online and delivered to the school for convenience. For students wearing the school dress, some hems need to be lowered, or a new summer dress purchased if a growth spurt has occurred over the break.

Jewellery

  • Students are reminded of the parameters around wearing jewellery whilst at school.
    • One pair (or a single) of plain gold or silver round studs (no larger than 5mm) or sleepers (no larger than 12mm), may be worn in the ear lobe in the first hole only. Multiple earrings may not be worn. Diamond and/or pearl earrings are not permitted.
    • Visible piercings are not permitted. This includes the tongue and the nose.
    • Necklaces are not to be visible other than a simple cross and chain.
    • All other forms of jewellery which are not listed above are not permitted whilst in school uniform.

Canteen Purchases via Flexischools

  • Both our campuses operate a fully equipped café, which open from 7.30am each morning. Please be aware that from 2026, the café is cashless and accepts SmartRider payments only via the Flexischools app. This is very easy to set up by downloading the app via your preferred platform and following the instructions that can also be found below:
  • To set up the account you will need to know your child’s 4 or 5 digit Student Id. This is printed on their SmartRider.
