Heads of House
What's on for Cowan, Gandhi, Lincoln, Mandela

Here we are! Three weeks into our first full year as Cowan House – and you can feel the momentum building.
I’m proud to introduce our 2026 PCG Tutor Team:
C1 - Ms Tia Scott
C2 - Mr Michael Heath
C3 - Ms Fiona Craig
C4 - Ms Jess McGaw
C5 - Ms Olivia Andrew
C6 - Mr Hiep Nguyen
C7 - Mr Massimo McKie
Our PCG Tutors are the heartbeat of our House. They are your first point of contact regarding your child and play a vital role in building connection, setting expectations, and ensuring every student feels known, supported, and valued.
A huge well done to our Year 7s returning from camp, a fantastic way to begin their Cowan journey and build friendships, resilience, and confidence from the outset.

Friday 27 February (Week 5) will be a day to remember - our Cowan House Charity Day: Aqua Chant Off. The event will combine water-based carnival games with our inaugural House chant competition. It’s about raising funds for charity but more importantly, it’s about building culture. Energy, teamwork, and House pride will be on full display as we unite in blue and set the tone for the year ahead. Our chosen charity is the Back on Track Foundation.
Then on Wednesday 4 March (Week 6), we head to the Interhouse Swimming Carnival and Sync Swim. Our Year 12 leaders have put significant effort into preparing our inaugural routine, and I’m excited to see Cowan represented strongly.
In 2026, as part of our theme, we will Embrace, Excel, and Empower, the Cowan way.
Mr Adam Edwards
Head of Cowan

A very warm welcome to everyone in Gandhi House. Term 1 has already been off to a very busy start with various different events and activities. Sync Swim rehearsals are in full swing ahead of the Interhouse Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 4 March (Week 6), sign-ups have begun for the Interhouse Performing Arts Festival in Term 2 and we have welcomed 34 new Gandhi students across Years 7-10 this term.

This week, our Year 7s attended Camp! It was a great success, and the students left with many positive new connections and memories to take away from the experience. We were lucky enough to have some of our Year 12 leaders attend the Year 7 Camp. It was excellent to see the connection and House Spirit shine through the series of House games run by the Year 12s. A huge thank you to our Year 12 Leaders who have helped our Year 7 students settle in, both on Camp this week and Orientation Day in Week 1. Your guidance and House Spirit has shone through and been greatly appreciated by both staff and students!
Coming up, we have House Week running during Week 4. We are excited to see lots of sign-ups for the events running at lunchtimes throughout the week. Be sure to keep an eye on the notices and your direct messages to see which events you can participate in! Let’s start the year with some great participation and House Spirit. Go Gandhi!
Miss Molly Raynor
Acting Head of Gandhi

It has been a fun and exciting start to the school year. The School Ball was a lovely event, where we could see the Year 12 students in a completely new light - far different from the Year 7 students they were five years ago.
Speaking of Year 7 students, it was fantastic being able to spend time with the new Year 7 students on camp this week and having the opportunity to see the Lincoln students compete against the other Houses. I was blown away by their fierce House Spirit and encourage them to look out for opportunities to support the House in future events- the first being House Week that will take place during lunch time next week.

We will also soon be starting Interhouse Dance and Drama rehearsals. Auditions for Dance were held this week with a rehearsal schedule to be sent out to successful students in Week 4. Further information will then be given regarding practise and rehearsals.
With the official start of our fourth House, Cowan, being introduced to competitions this year, it is more important than ever for our Lincoln students to keep up with their amazing House spirit and to join in as many activities and events as possible. Our first large event will be the Interhouse Swimming Carnival which will be held in Week 6. I look forward to seeing all of our Lincoln students in the pool, supporting our House and ticking of a first in the first event of the year!
Mr Vincent Lim
Head of Lincoln

Welcome to a brand-new year in Mandela House. Our House is off to a fantastic start, and we are excited for what promises to be a big term full of energy, connection, and participation.
There is plenty happening this term. House Week will take place in Week 4, giving everyone the chance to show their House pride and get involved in a range of fun activities. We also have the Interhouse Swimming Carnival and Interhouse Sync Swimming coming up, both of which are always highlights on the House calendar. Sign-ups for Interhouse Performing Arts Festival auditions are now open and available on the House Board. If you’re interested, please put your name down, more information about auditions will be shared very soon.

Mandela is incredibly lucky to have such a strong group of Year 12 school leaders representing the House this year. Congratulations to Benji Yan (House Captain), Alyssa Peake (House Prefect), Zara Moesker (Community & Service Captain), Cate Williams (Chapel Captain), Abi Jones (Art Prefect), Lawson Forrester (Music Prefect), and John Skinner (Library Prefect). We are very grateful for the leadership and enthusiasm they bring.
As reigning House Cup champions, Mandela will again be aiming high. Remember, winning comes from participation, you don’t have to be the best, we just ask that you give it a go and try your best. Growing Together starts with getting involved.
Mr Conrad Sloan
Head of Mandela
