Grade 3 and 4 Music Concert

The Grade 3 and 4 classes had a Music Concert on Monday, 26 October in the auditorium to showcase what they have been learning in Music this year.
They performed a song as a class on a variety of instruments, such as marimbas, xylophones, glockenspiels, metallophones, djembes, congas and cabasas. Some classes also had a dance group or a recorder group. They each learnt a song unique to their class and had the opportunity to choose which instrument they played or if they wanted to create a dance or change the words of the song in a singing group.
To conclude the concert, all Grade 3 and 4 students performed 2 recorder songs altogether.
It has been a joy witnessing the students progressing in their individual parts in the songs and seeing the students work together to create their own dances or lyrics to the songs. The students have also learnt how to play the recorder with excellent technique, ensuring they blend well as a group. Well done, Grade 3 and 4 classes, you have made me very proud to be your Music teacher!
