School Council Sub Committees

School Council Subcommittees and Parent Involvement
School Council subcommittees provide an opportunity for members of our school community to contribute their skills, knowledge and perspectives in specific areas of school improvement. Subcommittees are advisory groups that support School Council by providing feedback and recommendations; however, all decisions remain the responsibility of School Council.
All subcommittees include at least one School Council member and are open to community members who wish to contribute. We warmly invite more members to our sub committees.
Our School Council subcommittees include:
Finance Committee – Supports the development and monitoring of the school budget and provides oversight of financial processes and expenditure.
Buildings and Grounds Committee – Advises on the maintenance, improvement and long-term planning of our school facilities, grounds and safety.

Education and Wellbeing Committee – Provides community insight into educational priorities, student wellbeing initiatives, policies and whole-school programs.

Community Engagement Committee – Strengthens connections between school and families, promotes inclusive participation, gathers community feedback and celebrates the achievements of OPS.

Parents and Friends Association (P&F)
The P&F is a separate parent-led group that works alongside the Principal and School Council to strengthen community connections, encourage parent involvement and raise funds that benefit our students and school.
