Nude Food Day
Next Tuesday 5th November the Student Action Team are hosting 'Nude Food Day'. Students are encouraged to bring packed lunches and snacks without packaging like plastic wrappers, cling film, or single-use containers. The goal is to reduce waste, promote healthier eating habits, and raise awareness about environmental sustainability. Instead of packaged snacks, students bring food in reusable containers and lunchboxes.
The Student Action Team will be walking around 'inspecting' lunch boxes on the day and giving out raffle tickets. Prizes will be drawn at assembly on Friday. Some pictures of ideas are below.
Tuesday - Ice Creams for sale!!
With the theme of 'Nude Food' happening next Tuesday, the Student Action Team have decided to sell vanilla ice creams in cones instead of Zoopy Doopys to save on packaging/wrapping. These will be for sale at the canteen for just $1.
The Scholastic BOOKFAIR
A massive thank you to all the families that supported this year's Scholastic Book Fair. We sold $2,643.93 worth of books and goodies. As a result of this, the school will receive a $770.50 voucher to spend with Scholastic, (including the books pictured below).
Library Stocktake
As we prepare for our annual library stocktake, we kindly ask that all library books be returned to school.
The annual stocktake will take place on our Pupil Free Day – Thursday, 28th November.
Please ensure that all borrowed books are returned by this date. No further borrowings will be allowed for the remainder of the year.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us keep our library collection up to date!

We invite everyone to wear a touch of PINK to show their support.
🧁 Cupcakes will be available to order for $2.00 each and will be served at recess.
Orders and payments can be made via the QKR App by 3:00pm on Thursday, 13th November 2025.

About Monique 💕
Monique Squires was diagnosed in 2015 with an incurable brain cancer called DIPG. Monique attended Lockington Pre-School with her twin sister, Zoe, but sadly became unwell. After a courageous 13-month battle, Monique passed away on 15th October 2016.
All funds raised from Pink Day will go to The Cure Starts Now Australia, supporting vital research into childhood brain cancers.
That is all for this week, Lisa Lind
