Sacred Heart Cross Country & Fun Run

Last Thursday, students from Sacred Heart participated in our annual Cross Country and Fun Run event at Victoria Park Yarrawonga. It was fantastic to see so many students enthusiastically involved throughout the day, demonstrating determination, resilience and school spirit.

Students from all year levels challenged themselves across a variety of distances and should be congratulated on their outstanding efforts and participation. The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase the stamina and endurance they have been developing throughout the term during Physical Education lessons and Running Club.

A special congratulations to all students who placed in their age groups and to those who will progress through to the next level of competition. We were particularly proud of the encouragement and sportsmanship shown by students throughout the day, with many cheering on and supporting their peers as they crossed the finish line.

Thank you to all staff, volunteers and families who assisted in making the event such a success. Your support helped create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere for all students.

Divisional Cross Country

A huge congratulations to our runners who braved the cold and wet conditions today at the O&M Divisional Cross Country in Wangaratta. We saw some fantastic efforts from our runners. We wish those progressing through to Regional Cross Country next week in Benalla all the best. Thank you to the parents and friends who came out and supported our students.

O & M Division Cross Country (Wangaratta) – Wednesday 3rd June

Hume Region Cross Country (Benalla) – Friday 12th June

Wangaratta Winter Sports Day- (Selected Year 5 and 6 students) - Monday 22nd June

State Cross Country (Melbourne) - Thursday 16th July (T3)

Year 5 and 6 Lightning Premiership – Friday 21st July (T3)

SHPS Athletics Carnival – Thursday 3rd September (T3)
