The SRC at Kurri Kurri High School has been working hard this term with a new team. We were lucky enough to have a very productive leadership planning day at the Rydges in the Hunter Valley. We collaborated on a range of activities and planned our goals for 2025.
One exciting initiative for 2025 is the introduction of TerraCycle bins, a generous gift from our past Year 12 students. These bins will be placed around the school, where both students and staff can use them to collect hard-to-recycle items like snack wrappers, coffee pods, and stationery.
The SRC also discussed plans for Valentine's Day and we're thrilled to announce that we’ll be bringing it back next year. There will be roses, chocolates and serenading to be purchased for a friend or special someone in your life! Money raised will be going towards Year 12’s Formal fund.
We can’t wait to see everyone get involved again! And rememeber if you have an issue you would like raised, speak to a member of the SRC or find our special box in the library.
Have a wonderful christmas and a safe holidays!
