Kuta-kaya Community Access Wuwing  

Over the last term Wuwing have gone on a number of fun Community Access excursions. Students have been practicing their social skills by going into public places and interacting with the community. Further, students have been honing their skills of picking and purchasing items from the grocery store. You will see photos taken of Wuwing at place such as Tenpin Bowling, the Zoo, Blackbutt Reserve, the park, the shops and Kurri Kurri Bowling Club.  

  

Kuta Kaya Sport  

Student in Kuta Kaya have been enjoying developing their touch football, OzTag and yoga skills this term. Skill development such as passing, teamwork, communication and running have been part of their sport education this term. As well as mindfulness, stretching and mind, body connection. It has been particularly positive and encouraging to see students participate in some healthy competitive and inclusive football games and engage in yoga.   

   

PCYC Program 

Students from Kuta-kaya have been privileged enough to attend an Engagement program at PCYC Cessnock this term supported by Miss Hoenstok. Students have had the chance to engage in activities that support social and emotional wellbeing as well as physically challenging activities such as Gymnastics and developing skills in the Indoor Skate Park. Students also participate in preparing and cooking meals for the group each week, developing daily living skills for the future.
