Year 9
In Year 9 Drama this term, students have focused specifically on building realistic and engaging characters onstage. Through the study of key practitioner Konstantin Stanislavski, students have explored techniques around building an authentic onstage presence. Developing key vocal and physical skills to support characterisation has also been a major focus throughout the term. It is evident that all students have worked diligently to bring engaging characters to life in their recent Drama assignment.
Year 11
Year 11 Drama have been working really hard this term, studying Theatrical Traditions and performance styles of theatre. Within this topic, students have looked at three different practitioners and studied their key philosophies and performance styles onstage. Discussing political and social issues and how theatre can be an opportunity for change has also been a key inquiry question this term for Year 11 Drama. Students will continue to expand their knowledge in their upcoming assignment as they develop a script of their choice and build their performance through a specific theatrical style studied in class.
