Forensic Workshop

On 27 May, our Year 9 and 10 students participated in an engaging Education Interactive Forensic Science Workshop titled “A Case of Conspiracy”.

Through an immersive storyline, students stepped into the role of forensic investigators as they explored a complex case involving a suspected murder.

Students examined and interpreted the evidence including DNA, ballistic evidence and arson investigations, applying realistic forensic forensic science methods and tools to unology and tools.

Beyond the science, the workshop provided an opportunity to explore important social issues. The storyline encouraged discussion around drug awareness, the consequences of choices, and the impact of negative influences and associations. These themes were presented in a way that supported open and thoughtful conversations with students.

The workshop was a valuable opportunity for students to apply scientific skills in a real world context while developing a deeper understanding of the role forensic science plays in investigations and our wider community.
