Quote you live by: “you only live once, so take the risk, and make the most with what you have.”

Who do you look up to and why? The person that I will always look up to is my Dad. He may be small, but he has the biggest heart and always reminds me that even when things get wrong, there will always be a way to fix it. My dad is my biggest inspiration in terms of STEM and is the reason why I love to design and build extravagant creations. He is the most caring and selfless person that I know, and will continue to be my biggest role model no matter what.

What is a piece of advice you would give to other students? Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There will be SO many times where you’ll be afraid to ask a question and ask for clarification, or ask a teacher for help. But 90% of the time, someone else is probably in the same boat as you. Asking for help may sound like you’re not smart enough, or you may be disappointing your teacher for not understanding, but it’s not. Asking for help is allowing yourself to become your best when learning, and giving yourself a better chance in getting the results you wish to achieve. Asking for help is not just with your classroom teacher - it can be with your friends, other teachers, siblings - but it’s also utilising the resources you have available. There’s homework club, Youtube videos, websites, questions and work solutions… so many resources already given to you. But if you don’t ask or use the help there to you, then you’ll never be able to grasp the concepts needed in order to achieve success.

What are some of your goals? For 2024, one of my main goals is to promote a culture of collaboration and inclusivity in all aspects and enhance student success through this. For the year 12s specifically, alongside our other leaders, I hope to make the last year an exciting and memorable one.

Who do you look up to and why? My parents, they're the most hardworking people I know. What is a piece of advice you would give to other students? Study hard but enjoy your high school years, before you know it you'll be in year 12!
