Hollows House

News

Dear parents, teachers, and students,

It's hard to believe that we're already approaching the end of the first term here in Hollows House. Time flies when you're having fun, and this year has certainly been no exception! As we reflect on the past two months, we are proud to share the incredible accomplishments of our students already this year.

From the very start of the school year, we have seen our students show enthusiasm and dedication to their studies, extra-curricular activities, and community service initiatives. Their hard work has paid off in many ways, and we couldn't be more thrilled to celebrate these accomplishments as a house.

First and foremost, our students have shown exceptional academic performance. With a rigorous curriculum that encourages critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, our students have risen to the challenge and achieved remarkable results. Our Year 12 students have already shown outstanding results in their first assessments, and we're confident that they will continue to excel in their exams later this year. What is even more impressive, is that as a House student cohort, Hollows has again achieved tremendous results in their recent Learning Habits reports. This is a testament to the outstanding work that we are all doing and I encourage you all to keep pushing yourselves to achieve great things.

Additionally, our students have demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in the community. Our House and School leaders have been actively involved in International Women’s Day events, fundraising for causes like breast cancer awareness and education for underprivileged children. They have also volunteered their time to assist with our Year 7 Welcome and Celebration event as well as Student Led Conferences. We have also recognised the awesome work that our teachers have been doing across our school, creating a ‘staff shout outs’ initiative. We will have these on display for staff and students to see from next week.

Finally, from a sporting perspective, we have had a fantastic start to the year, with many wins, active participation, and impressive performances at our recent whole school swimming carnival, which Hollows House was successful in winning this year by 1 solitary point! It was so great to see so much blue worn with pride and our banners looked fantastic! From basketball to volleyball, soccer to rugby, our students have demonstrated outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship as they’ve represented our school with pride. Keep up the great work!

Overall, we are incredibly proud of our students and their achievements thus far. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and success throughout the year, and we are grateful for the support and dedication of our teachers, parents, and the wider school community.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Hollows House, and we look forward to sharing more exciting news and accomplishments in the future.

Sincerely,

Bradley Andrews, Hollows House Leader
