Prep Money Shop 

Learning Experience

In Prep, students have been investigating Australian coins. They have explored both the value, dimensions and depiction of each coin. Students have loved sorting and counting coins. As a finale to their learning, each Prep class created their own Shopping Centre with a variety of shops selling cars, books, toys, ponies, Lego and dinosaurs and there was even a cafe. Students visited other classes and thoroughly enjoyed using a variety of coins to purchase items. There was a huge buzz in each classroom as students enjoyed being both shopkeepers and shoppers.
