Primary School Leaders 2026 

On Friday the 7th of November, 29 out of 35 Year 5 students put themselves forward for a leadership role for 2026! That’s incredible!

Public speaking is ranked at the top of adult fears, so these students are so courageous already.

Students wrote, practised, and delivered their speech in front of their current peers, and the Year 4s who will be in the cohort next year. Students from Years 5 and 4 were allowed to vote, as well as the current School and Tribal Leaders.

The calibre of the speeches was exemplary, and it was absolutely heartwarming to hear many of them include how the MECS Threads are shaping their values – isn’t that amazing! Their love of God was foremost in their presentations, and we are immensely proud of these future leaders.

To celebrate the very fact that these students decided to choose to serve, they were treated to hot chips! After all, each and every one of them has achieved something super special today!
