Teacher Interview Maridia

Interview with Miss Maridia Astarlis Year 3 Teacher
How long have you worked at BNPS?
I worked at the OSHC program for nearly five years before I started relief teaching which I did for about one and a half years! This year I am teaching in the lovely 3B class.
What is your favourite thing to do on weekends?
I love a relaxing weekend with not much on. I enjoy catching up with friends for dinner, going to Pilates, and playing with my new kitten Kirby!
What is your favourite TV Show?
I know there are hundreds of great new shows, but I am still a huge fan of Seinfeld. I have probably watched the series at least 5 times!
If you could go on a holiday anywhere in the World, where would you go?
I absolutely love to travel, the next destination on my list would be Edinburgh, Scotland or somewhere in the USA! I would also love to go to Greece again to visit family.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I used to go to BNPS as a student when I was in primary school! It is truly special to be part of the amazing team that once shaped my own learning.
What recently made you smile?
I really enjoyed seeing my final pottery pieces after an 8-week course. I made quite a few mistakes along the way, but by the end, I got the hang of it and produced some very cool ceramic pieces.
What would you like to say to the students at BNPS?
Believe in yourselves and never be afraid to dream big! Every small step leads to something great.
