Principal's Report

It is hard to believe that Term 1 is almost over. Excitement is certainly growing as the thought of holidays is almost upon us. The students are all very excited with the thought of winning our “Guess How Many Easter Eggs” are in the jar.
The raffle will be drawn at our final assembly tomorrow.
When everyone returns in term 2 you will notice many different building projects underway all of which are being funded by the department.
Ramp Replacement Works
During the holidays work will begin on the replacement of our school ramps. Currently our ramps do not meet the required regulations and as a result the department is funding the replacement of our ramps. GRN Built PTY LTD are the construction company responsible for this work.
The ramps to the front of the school will be demolished during the holidays but it will be 4-6 weeks before the new compliant ramps will be installed. Ramps to the canteen will be replaced at the beginning of term 2.
The Rolling Facilities Fund
Work is continuing with the replacement of the roof, guttering and spouting in the min building and our OSHC building.
McLeod’s Arborists
We have engaged McLeod Trees, an arborist, to assess the safety of the trees on our school. They have identified a number of trees that could be trimmed or removed, and this work will be happening in the second week of the school holidays.
Football Posts will be installed week 2 of the holidays. All students will be extremely excited when they return to school and see our new football posts on the oval. The installation.
Morning Tea
The staff were treated to a truly scrumptious morning tea on Tuesday morning. Members of our Parent and Friends shared their cooking skills with the staff.
On behalf of the staff thank you so much. Your thoughts and actions are greatly appreciated by us all.
Colour & Slime Run
The Colour Run was truly a remarkable experience that all the children thoroughly enjoyed. This fantastic event was made possible by the hard work and dedication of our wonderful parents, with special thanks to Cathryn, who expertly organized everything.
The funds raised approx $17,000 are going towards our resurfacing of the basketball court.
Our wonderful Parents & Friends also ran the recent hot cross bun drive (selling 242 packets) and are planning a sausage sizzle and cake stall on Saturday 3 May 2025 on the election day.
These funds raised will also go towards resurfacing our basketball court. The commitment, time and effort that the Parents & friends give towards the improvement of BNPS is truly remarkable and our school is very lucky to have you all.

ANZAC Day Service
Our Year 6 led ANZAC will be held on Thursday 24 April 10am.
Every year our Year 6 students conduct an Anzac Day service. The research given to this task produces many interesting aspects of their personal family history, which the children then share with our community in an emotional and meaningful service.
All parents are invited to attend our tribute to the ANZAC’s.
The Year 6 students sell a variety of pins and wristbands ranging from $2.00 – $10.00 in the lead up to the service and all proceeds go to the RSL General Appeals Patriotic Fund.
Students are asked to bring a small floral arrangement along to the service.
Siblings Prep 2026
