Harmony and Neurodiversity Day
A Celebration of Belonging
On Monday 24, BNPS came together to celebrate Harmony and Neurodiversity Day, embracing the theme: Everybody is different, and we all belong. It was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to reflect on the importance of inclusivity, respect, and celebrating differences.
A highlight of the day was our whole-school Elmer the Elephant activity, where students decorated their elephants with personal messages about what makes them unique. As they shared their reflections, a powerful and consistent message emerged – it is okay to be different. The thoughtful and heartfelt contributions from students reinforced the importance of embracing individuality and supporting one another.
The celebration continued with a sea of orange, as students proudly wore a touch of the colour to symbolise unity and belonging. During our whole-school lunch, the sense of community was truly felt as students and staff came together, sharing stories and experiences in a welcoming and inclusive space.
Harmony and Neurodiversity Day was a resounding success, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for the richness that diversity brings to our school.
Thank you to all students and staff for making this such a meaningful and memorable event
