Art

In their Visual Art Unit of Inquiry about Weather, Year 1 students embarked on an exciting journey to explore the texture and movement of stormy seas. Using painted paper, they experimented with different colors and brush techniques to capture the dramatic waves and swirling patterns of the ocean. With their cutting skills, they brought their sea-inspired designs to life by creating dynamic paper sculptures, adding layers and shapes to represent the force and flow of the stormy waters. A fun, creative way to combine art and the weather!

Year 4 students in Visual Art have been exploring the vibrant culture of India by creating colourful paper sculptures inspired by the Holi festival. This celebration of colour and joy has come to life through their imaginative artwork. Their sculptures showcase a rich blend of creativity, culture, and the vibrant hues that are central to Holi’s lively celebrations. It’s a joyful tribute to the power of colour and cultural expression!
