Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)
A big congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC). The AMC always presents some challenging questions, and we hope our students enjoyed the opportunity to stretch their mathematical thinking, challenge themselves and learn from the experience.

Maths Talent Quest (MTQ)
The Maths Talent Quest is now well underway, with projects due in just a couple of weeks.
Students should email their completed project directly to Mr Tang at kelvin.tang@education.vic.gov.au by next Friday, 28 August.
We have already received some fantastic projects, with students from Foundation through to Year 6 investigating a wonderful range of mathematical questions. It has been great to see students taking ownership of their ideas and exploring mathematics in creative and interesting ways.
Matific Olympiad
The Matific Olympiad finished last week, and what an incredible result for Essex Heights!
Our school finished 10th in the entire competition, which is a fantastic achievement. A huge congratulations to everyone who participated and contributed to this outstanding result.
