Year 6

Market Day

As part of their Integrated Studies unit, Economics and Business, Year 6 students created a product or service to sell at Market Day on Thursday 6 August to raise money for their Year 6 Graduation.

Year 6 Market Day stalls are something that comes around once a year. These stalls help gather money from the whole school to raise funds for our graduation. The year sixes use their creativity to create their Market Day stalls and start learning about business. Also the other grades have fun buying and experiencing the older grades stalls.

Year 6 students have to use their knowledge to come up with things to sell, and how to make a profit, the pricing, and the products and how the service is going to be like. We were inspired by the memory of previous years visiting the market stalls.

Overall, it was a huge success. We broke the record for money raised and are so grateful we can celebrate our graduation knowing that we earnt this.

MWSC Production

On Wednesday 12 August, future Mount Waverley Secondary College students were invited to attend a matinée performance of High School Musical. A remake of the classic early 2000s film, the production was presented by 40 MWSC students. Singing, dancing, acting, technological and set design skills were all on display. Our students were in awe of the talents and opportunities they will be embraced by at MWSC next year.
