CSC Success Integrated Seminar

During the Year 10 Step Up program, our future Year 11 students participated in a Student Leadership and Study Seminar led by the charismatic Darren Perrera himself! To augment and celebrate our ongoing work in Year 10, the cohort participated in an exciting workshop hosted by Darren and his wonderful DJ, Danielle Letunica, who dropped some beats for our students. The participants learned to appreciate the finer points of not only studying but embracing the essence of leadership for their future, especially as they make their way into Year 11 in 2025.

Ultimately, the feedback surveys from students resulted in a strong and positive endorsement, again highlighting the importance of having strong leadership and study skills as part of the learning experience. It was most pleasing to hear feedback including having confidence (and of course laughter at Darren’s witty remarks) in our student’s self-growth and most importantly how to be the B.E.S.T. of themselves for their lifetime ahead.

I would like to thank Mr. McGavisk, the Year 10 team and also Elevate Education for organizing the Study Skills content and helping to arrange the seminar. Special acknowledgement to Ms. Hannah Atkinson for her assistance to make this event possible and eventful for our students. We look forward to expanding the work of 2024 with a Study Camp Retreat at Melbourne University for our Year 11s of 2025!
