Message from the Principal Team

Dear CSC Community,

Our final newsletter for the year allows us to reflect on 2024 with a sense of pride  and accomplishment for everyone, students, parents and staff.

Our year 7's have completed their first year of high school. They have made new friends and strong connections and learned how to navigate the challenges of being a small fish in a big pond.

Our year 8's have consolidated how they manage the expectations of themselves as learners in their classrooms and are finding their strengths and areas that they may need a little more support with.

Our year 9's have successfully worked through the topsy turvey world of 'teenagerdom', and moving out of childhood into adulthood. It is a tough time in the world of growing up with mistakes made and challenges overcome.

Our yr10's have worked on, and hopefully shrugged off, the challenges of previous years and spent the year getting ready for their final years of schooling. They have made choices about their preferred pathway and are ready to focus their education on what will take them into their futures.

Our yr11's have completed the first half of their certificates and have given themselves a strong base for consolidation and achievement with their studies.

Our yr12's did it! They completed their certificates and are ready to move forward into adulthood with a sense of accomplishment. We wish them all the best for the next phase of their lives and encourage them to follow their hearts and dreams with strength, confidence and purpose.

To all our students, well done! Enjoy the break, you deserve it, and we can't wait to see most of you again next year.

To our parents, thank you! We have enjoyed getting to know more of you over the past year and seeing the bonds between parents and the school getting stronger. We know that together we can work towards making our school community one of trust and confidence for the education of your children.

Our staff. We are blessed to have such a dedicated and professional team working for the best outcomes for our students. Many of us reading this newsletter have come in contact with at least one staff member who has supported us/our child with their education, whether it be with classroom learning, personal challenges, a new language or social growth.  We would like to acknowledge and thank our broad range of experts and their commitment to our community. Thank you.

Our newsletters across the year have documented the many experiences and programs that CSC offers, with the intent of every student finding a space where they can show their strengths and shine. These programs and the dedication that sits behind each of them is admirable and we encourage everyone to flick back through the newsletters to gain a sense of the breadth of success we have seen in 2024.

We wish everyone a safe and relaxing break, time to enjoy and celebrate with family and friends, and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.
