Awards and Scholarships – Pathways Team

Throughout the academic year our students are recognised for their efforts and achievements by a variety of tertiary institutions, businesses, and local authorities.

Congratulations to the 2024 recipients listed below.

Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program

Each year, high-achieving Year 10 students from Victoria are nominated to take part in an academic enrichment program designed to support high-achieving secondary school students. The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program is named after Professor Kwong Lee Dow, a former University of Melbourne Vice-Chancellor and a distinguished educational scholar.

Successful applicants take part in an exciting two-year program run by the University of Melbourne. Students engage in events and activities that will expand their academic and personal horizons. Students in this program also benefit from having access to the Kwong Lee Dow Scholars community, the University of Melbourne libraries, and overseas study scholarships.

The University of Melbourne received over 2000 applications for the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program. The Year 10 and Pathways Team would like to congratulate Angelina Curcio 10B and Imogen Peters 10F who were selected to take part in the program!!

These Awards aim to promote the importance and relevance of vocational education and training pathways and celebrate student engagement and achievements within their chosen fields. The awards are based on student results, attitudes, and accomplishments. Schools nominate suitable candidates and they are endorsed through recommendations from employers, teachers and work placement coordinators.
