Celebrating Lesley Noppe

Farewell to Lesley Noppe

This week, we say a heartfelt farewell to Lesley Noppe, who will be finishing with us on Friday, 22 August, as she begins extended leave in preparation for retirement.

Lesley has been a valued part of The Gap State High School community since 2006, when she first joined as a casual Teacher Aide.

Over the past 19 years, she has made an extraordinary contribution across many areas of our school. From her dedicated work in Pathways & Performance to her support of countless teams, Lesley’s commitment, professionalism, and kindness have left a lasting mark on both staff and students.

Beyond her daily role, Lesley has also been a tireless advocate for her colleagues, representing and supporting fellow Teacher Aides with dedication and care.

Her willingness to go above and beyond has made her a trusted and respected member of our community.

This morning’s farewell morning tea was a fitting tribute, filled with warm wishes, shared stories, and heartfelt appreciation. Staff gathered to acknowledge Lesley’s incredible service, reflect on her achievements, and wish her all the very best for the future.

On behalf of the entire school, we extend our deepest gratitude to Lesley for her outstanding contribution over nearly two decades. We wish her every happiness in retirement and thank her for leaving such a lasting legacy at The Gap SHS.
