Mikaela McGreevy- Head of Year 10
Our focus this term in Connect is our school value of Stepping Up. This term Year 10s are using this value to show kindness, compassion and demonstrate the courage to pay it forward.
For the remainder of the term, we are shining a light on two incredible organisations:
Stationary Aid, which repurposes school supplied for students in need and Share the Dignity, which provides essential products to women and girls experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardship.
Let’s build a culture of kindness. Year 10s asking for donations for both charities to be dropped to the Office or Wellbeing Hub #1.
We will be delivering these items at the start of Week 10 to the respective charities.

Dear Parents and Carers,
Sibling relationships are one of the most influential connections in a child’s life. They help shape a young person’s social, emotional, and behavioural development, influencing how they interact with friends, manage conflict, and approach school life.
As educators, we sometimes see the effects of sibling rivalry, competition, or conflict spilling into the classroom. These moments are opportunities to help students strengthen skills like conflict resolution, self-esteem, and emotional regulation — all of which link closely to our school values of Being Kind and Stepping Up.
Our partnership with SchoolTV means you have access to new content designed to help families navigate the complexities of sibling dynamics. The latest episode explores practical strategies to:
• Reduce rivalry and competition
• Foster mutual respect between siblings
• Recognise and celebrate each child’s individuality
• Support emotional wellbeing at home and school
We encourage you to take some time to view this valuable resource. By working together home and school, we can help create positive sibling relationships that enhance both wellbeing and learning.
