Our place getters were Jnr. - Jasper S (7th), Hayden B (10th), Lauren G (3rd). Int. - Charlie T (6th), and our school came 6th overall against a large field of riders.

A big thank you goes to Ms McCall for her support in organising these events, which couldn’t happen without the dedication of staff members like Ms Mc Call.

Year 9 Gala Day

Last Tuesday our Year 9 students enjoyed a day of social sports at the South Pine Sporting Complex competing with their friends against the other high schools in our districts.

The students selected from mixed beach volleyball, basketball, netball, 7 a side soccer and mixed touch.

A great time was had during the day and good competition being enjoyed by all.  The beach volleyball team was ecstatic that they won the day’s event.

Year 9 students, look out for the final opportunity for the year next term – in the lead up to week 5.

Touch Football

The Gap SHS Touch Football teams recently competed in the Brisbane Secondary All Schools Touch Football Competition, showcasing outstanding effort and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Across all games, our players demonstrated incredible growth, building on their skills, teamwork, and determination with every match. We had 4 teams (44 students) taking part.

Their improvement was evident not only in their gameplay but also in the confidence and resilience they displayed against strong opposition. Representing the school with pride, the teams showed commitment, spirit, and a never-give-up attitude, making their coaches and The Gap SHS very proud. Congratulations to all our students who can be proud of their effort and involvement over the days.

Massive thank you to Mr. Hottes, Mr. Roberts and Mr. Begley for your continued support and commitment for these athletes. Well done.
