Junior School Stories

Year 2 Community Walk

On Thursday 19 March, our students had a wonderful time walking to the Mount Waverley Village shops to explore the range of local services, including the train station, bakery, butcher, public toilets, supermarket and car park.

Upon returning to school, many students quickly got changed into their orange clothing or cultural outfits, which was a lovely way to celebrate both the excursion and Harmony Day.

Harmony Week

Our Junior School community came together to celebrate Harmony Week, embracing the values of inclusiveness, respect and belonging that underpin Australia’s rich multicultural society. Students proudly wore orange or traditional dress representing their cultural heritage, highlighting the diversity that makes our community so strong.

A special highlight was the whole-school Sea of Hands in the Quadrangle, where students from Prep to Year 12 created a powerful Aboriginal Flag display - standing in solidarity with First Nations peoples and reinforcing our shared commitment to unity, understanding and respect.
